Gas: the green light of ARER arrives at the Adriatic Line

The Regulatory Authority for Energy Networks and Environment (ARERA) has given the green light to the Adriatic Gas Line, a ridge that crosses the entire peninsula from south to north, designed by Snam and strategic for RepowerEU in the strategic branch alongside Russian gas.

The objective is to transport gas from North Africa via Tap (Trans-Adriatic Pipeline) both in Italy and in the rest of Europe.

With the approval of the Adriatic Line, the new backbone considered strategic and essential by the Europe RepowerEU plan, another important infrastructure project in the country kicks off.

The strengthening of the stockings, the Adriatic Line and the two FSRU of Piombino and Ravenna are the three pillars on which to construct the future supplyings and the Italian presence in the new European energetic system.
