The regasification vessel purchased by Snam has arrived in Piombino

The Golar Tundra, the regasification vessel purchased by Snam on behalf of the government, has arrived at the port of Piombino where it will stay for the next three years and will ensure the arrival of new gas flows.

The Golar Tundra can operate both as a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier and as an FSRU (floating storage and regasification unit).

The vessel has a storage capacity of approximately 170,000 cubic meters of LNG and a continuous regasification capacity of 5 billion cubic meters per year.

By the first half of April, the regasification vessel will be connected to the pipeline with the national gas network, while the arrival of the first shipment is expected between April and June.
